An update to my portfolio, I have long regretted entering the position in Arrow Electronics. I decided to re-evaluate the company today and in my opinion the current price (which is roughly what I paid for it almost a year ago) represents the fair value of the company. Last year I was too optimistic about this company and had too much cash that I wanted somewhere to put it. For the last year it has traded significantly below what I paid for it but I did not sell as I believed it was then undervalued. Now the price has risen and that is no longer the case.
This is not a company that I want to hold over the long term as it has no particular competitive advantage over and above its size so I have closed my position.
Overall this has returned 0%, at no opportunity cost as I have had adequate cash available all year.
